Roses of Humanity- BTS - My Story, My Way - Unedited

ROSES of HUMANITY by: HạĐỏ BíchPhượng

This year 2025 marks the 50th Journey of the Vietnamese people.

I look back at the fast-moving life, feel the preciousness of Humanity

and want to use my Music to share my very real  Emotions -

from the journeys I have gone through - to honor the

Values of Protecting Human Rights

for People in general,

Women in particular, helping the Less

Fortunate, wishing for a World without

War and for People to reunite and be happy...

Therefore, some of my songs were composed after real stories

that touched my heart according to the situation.

From the feeling of homesickness and loneliness when I first came to America,
I thought about Human Destiny and always thanked the Creator,
honored the Beauty of Mothers, felt sorry for the Fate of Women & sympathized
with the Unfortunate.  When living in a Society with too much Freedom,
I understood more the importance
of Faith and Life, Freedom and Justice...
and I like to Pray for World Peace plus Human Well-being...
A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME (Author)
I was born and raised in Vietnam. Like many other children, I love
my Father, I love my Mother and I love
my Homeland.  Through many pages of History, I understand
that my country has had ups and downs in many
wars with China, France and the Civil War (between South
and North Vietnam). When I was 12 years old (1968),
I was really afraid of the sound of artillery shells + bombs...
Then the War lasted until I was 19 years old (1975).
I left Vietnam at the age of 23 (1979) to become one of the BOAT people.
Now, I would like to open the Music page, telling you my
Memories and Feelings through 9 songs I composed
with Human Love.  I put these 9 songs in the same Theme.
The content of each song is from the Events or Happenings
in my final journey from 1979 until now…
(Commemorating the 50-year Journey of Overseas Vietnamese).

ROSES of HUMANITY

(Human Right for People / for The Less Fortunate / for Women /

for Victims of War / for Victims of Human Trafficking

*Song 1: (SOUND OF OCEAN WAVES IS YOUR LOVE)

After 15 days of drifting on the hungry sea, I was able to reach the
shores of Indonesia finally....
While temporarily residing on Galang Island (Indonesia),
I heard many stories from Living Witnesses.
They told me about Women
who were raped and their families were separated, about the broken
Boat or People who were buried at sea...
My 1st song about a couple who left Vietnam to cross the sea.
The wife died at sea, her black hair spread out on the water...
(unforgettable sad image). The husband settled in America, even after 50 years,
he still missed his wife. He often went to the sea and whenever he looked at the waves,
he felt as if her Love would always live forever in his Heart.

*Song 2: (WHERE IS FOREVER SPRING?)

I came to the United States when I was 24 years old (1980)
During the first days in a foreign land, I felt
a mixed feeling - both grateful to my second country (America) for
letting me settle here - but also feeling lonely
in a strange land...missed my homeland so much. However, in that
sadness, I began to listen to my Emotions
to feel that I have the Right to Love Myself and share my feelings
about the Joys and Sadnesses in life with others. ….
and my second song was a Question to my Heart.

*Song 3: (SING FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE)

While wandering in a new place, I listened to the cries + laments of the unfortunate.
They were poor, they were disabled,
they were despised by the rich and shunned by everyone, so
I felt sorry for them and hoped they would find Luck,
Justice and a warm Family Home... that's why I wrote this song.
*Song 4: (MIRACULOUS MOTHER RIVER)
Sitting by the peaceful River, I think of Mother as the great Woman
in the human world - because Mother sows
the seed of life for the fetus to become a human entity, like a gentle
River to water the soul of childhood,
nurture the future and Hope of Humanity... Mother deserves to be
praised forever because Mother is the Marvelous,
Miraculous River forever through many generations in this world...
*Song 5: (FAITH AND HUMAN LIFE)
Humans always cherish Life + have strong Faith in Emotions and all
Impacts in Family and Social relationships.
From different bloodlines to diverse cultural customs,
People meet each other through communication and sharing
with each other about knowledge, experience and feelings...
But a few years ago, I was scared at the window when I heard
screaming and shouting outside to condemn
Racism on the street…   I understand Everyone wants Freedom,
Justice in Love with sustainable Human Rights....
This song is to remind People treating each other positively,
respectfully, cherish each other in the World.

*Song 6: (HOW SORROWFUL WAR!)

On February 2022, even though I have been living far away in America,
I still heard the sound of gunfire
echoing in my head when I watched TV and saw so much panic
and heartache. I was haunted by some images of
children's hands clinging to the glass with sad and desperate eyes,
the staggering steps of the elderly taking refuge...
the scene of people sitting and lying crowded together in the shelter....
I felt that Human Destiny is so fragile.
The exclamation mark in the song to reveal my opinion that
I don't like War... because I don't want so many
people's Lives to be taken away....

*Song 7: (PRAYER FOR PEACE)

Before the Sacrifice of many people for the ideal of Freedom,
Democracy or for Self-Defense to gain the Right to Live,
People must be strong to overcome their own
comfort zone to fight the Enemy to save
their Lives and their Family and Society. I understand that
People have the Right to Speak, the Right to
Choose and the Right to Protect the Survival of themselves
and their Loved Ones....but because I am far away
from the place where the War is happening, I can only
send a Prayer from my heart to the Victims of War.

*Song 8: (WHY IS SHE A FAILLING ROSE PETAL?)

The fate of a woman is like a fragile flower in a storm, easily
hurt and easily harmed when evil spirits appear.
There are many women who suffer from many injustices in
society.  Sometimes employees have to endure
a lot of pressure from their employers.  Sometimes the poor
or the weak are exploited by bad people, sold as
slaves to the rich, the powerful or sold to inhumane men...
Or there are many cases where women have to
sacrifice their dignity because of family circumstances and
have to obey evil-minded people who are greedy
for money and lust.
*Song 9: (MOTHER OF HUNDREDS OF ABANDONED CHILDREN)
Despite the crisis or pain, the woman does not collapse, still
fighting for Survival and Justice.
With a passionate heart, the little woman has defeated the
chains of evil and injustice to continue living –
try to forget the days of struggling, wandering, disabled and
with past wounds... in order to stand up strongly
and moving forward, as if being Reborn to protect and raise
hundreds of abandoned children.
